Once upon a time...
Actually, thats another story. Recon Team Anaconda is a new team made up of veteran players. Most of us are previous members of TaskForce 216. Without boring everyone with all the details, we'll just say that things didn't work out there, and so I (AlphaSix) decided to create a new team, with a better defined focus, with a single Commander, and with many lessons learned from the last team. I gave an open invitation to all of the TaskForce 216 members to this new team, and was very flattered when nearly everyone on the team decided to accept my invitation. Thats something I won't forget, and that is a driving force in maintaining the focus we have for this new team.
Okay, so what is the focus? Nothing new really, just to have a good time, and to always keep things in perspective. It's easy to get caught up in alot of the negative aspects of this game, it's easy to get caught up in the "bad guy" image that TF216 had because of some previous experiences, but the truth is, at the end of the day, this is just a game. We're not training for the end of the world here, we're not crazed militia members hoping for doomsday, we're not pretending to be members of the military, we're just a group of friends that enjoy 'playing Army' and having a good time.
I talked about lessons learned from the old team, and one of the biggest issues that we want to avoid, is developing a negative reputation among other players, or teams. If you have a problem with us, if you see us doing something that you consider unsportsmanlike, or otherwise negative, I can always be found on the field, before, or after a game, and I encourage you to walk up to me and we'll discuss any issues you may have. Because I will be doing the same thing if we see something negative, or unsportsmanlike. We aren't going to reduce ourselves to physical confrontation, or screaming, or threatening others, we're here to have a good time, and we hope all of you are as well.
We consider ourselves to have a "clean slate" with Airsoft, we'll be at most of the larger Ohio events, and National events, we're always up for open games with other teams, or players, and we will be expanding our website to include what we hope will be
useful information for all airsoft enthusiasts.
Thanks for stopping by, and we look forward to seeing all of you out on the field!
